Fonda Maupin

Fonda Maupin was born and raised in Missouri; she is single mom of 2 children which has grown up in Mountain Home. She has lived in the Mountain Home community for 12 years and 5 years in Oakland prior. Fonda has worked in the mental health industry for the past 17 years. She has worked in school based mental health for 5 years as well. 

Fonda graduated with a Master’s Art in Counseling, a Bachelor’s Interdisciplinary Degree in Psychology, Counseling, and Social Work, and a School Secondary History Certification. 

Fonda has had experience in working with Elderly with Dementia, Adult women with Disabilities, Adults, Teens, and Children with Mental Health Disabilities, and children that are victims of child abuse and neglect. 

Fonda has had a Licensure for Professional Counseling for 15 years. She has credentialing and/or professional experience for Telehealth therapy, mood disorders, stress, PTSD, disorders with psychosis, panic disorder, dissociative identity disorder, and behavioral and social impairments.

Fonda provides services in Psychosocial Assessment, Mental Health Diagnosis, Interpretation of Diagnosis, Psycho education, Individual Behavioral Health counseling, Behavioral Health Group Counseling, Marriage and Family Behavioral Health Counseling, Multifamily Behavioral Health Counseling, Crisis intervention and Stabilization. 

Fonda states “My vision is to bring genuine, empathetic, and therapeutic counseling dynamics into my therapy services at our clinic. The focus is to assist clientele in this community and surrounding area to mange and/or resolve their mental health symptoms so that they can maximize their emotional, behavioral, and social potential. The second focus is to bring awareness to the community of mental health disorders, manage life stress and social conflict, and ways to utilize strategies to techniques for better management of these issues.

Joyce Parker

Joyce Parker was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to the Mountain Home area in 1972.  Joyce attended public school and graduated high school in Mountain Home.  Joyce was a single mom to 3 children; all of whom graduated from the Mountain Home public school system.  After years of working in the community, Joyce enrolled in college classes receiving an Associates Degree at Arkansas State University in Mountain Home, Bachelor’s of Science and Specialist’s Degree in Education, Psychology and Counseling, Mental Health Counseling at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

 Joyce is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been working in the mental health field since 2009 providing services for the elderly with dementia, depression, anxiety; children of all ages with behavioral issues as well as abuse, depression, anxiety, grief/loss; and adults struggling with PTSD, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, mood disorders, poor self esteem/self worth, domestic violence, past/current sexual abuse and relationship issues. 

 Joyce provides multiple counseling venues including individual therapy, group therapy, family and couple therapy as well as symptom management with the focus of treatment including grief/loss, PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, behavioral issues, past/current (physical, mental, emotional, sexual) abuse, self esteem issues, domestic violence and relationship issues.

 “Today, the societal stigma of mental health issues remains which prevent those who struggle from seeking services to manage and/or eliminate symptoms.  My goal is to empower the individual with skills necessary to overcome those obstacles in life that can paralyze with fear, uncertainty and hopelessness as well as cope with life changes/transitions and improve the individual’s quality of life.”
